I came across this small tid bit of information while reading up on the Hyundai Genesis.

Aparrently, in the 80's, Hyundai made a RWD car powered by a carbureted 4G63. Never made it into the US due to emission standards. This sucker only ways 2200 lbs and a 4G63T turbo would probably work. That would be a SICK sleeper.

For 1987, the Stellar II (Or Stellar 2.0 in Canada) was refreshed. Changes included a 2-way catalytic converter, new instrument cluster, larger 2.0 L Mitsubishi engine with a feedback carburetor, higher output alternator, larger headlights and restyled taillights.

Meet the Hyundai Stellar.

Sucker sure is UGLY. +1 on the sleeper factor though.

I'd be interested to learn more about the tranny. I wonder if it's basically the same as the one in the 2WD Mighty Max...

Here's an engine bay shot:

Sure that isn't a Starion motor? SOHC and turboed.... this doesn't say anything about being turboed.

I'd buy one if I found one LOL. IIRC there are 2 diferent 4g's wideblock and narrowblock so it may be diferen then ours.

Its not, its carburated. They were just saying that they wonder if a 4g63 turbo motor will bolt on.

I that cord for a for plugging in say... a diesel? Either that or the flux capacitor is low on charge. Any info on either subject or why someone ran an extension cord through the grill?

I vote engine block heater :thumb:. If it's in canada it's definetly cold enough to need one

No, I'm not 100% sure. I did a Google search and this came up as a Stellar engine bay shot. I suppose it could be a Starion bay though.
