JIC MAGIC FLT-A1....Does anyone have these?

I did a search on this site and I can't find any post on them? Does anyone have them or know anything about them? I am debating between these and the Tanabe's but leaning me towards these due to the name alone.

Call up Road Race Engineering, not only do they sell them, but install and set them up by their local Guru as well!

You should also check out the new TIEN basic and FLEX kits out for your 2G as well!

RRE site says they only sell the A2s. The Flex system is 1300 as compared to this system being 840 on the site i listed above. The SS system and Basic system are not full systems from the looks of the Tein website. I want to buy something i can do a complete assembly swap making this an easier job on the install.

If i do get the SS system, what else what i need to purchase? I am assuming just an upper mount, but of course it would be a pillow mount like with this JIC set.

Well I guess you need to find out how much you want to slam the car, this will dictate the need of a (pillowball) caster/camber plate. If you only want a moderate drop you can go with out.

Do you want to have the ability to re-build the shock itself? This is a perk only if you are racing the car A, and B have the knowledge on how to rebuild the cartridge, re-gas it, etc.

The TIEN Basic system is bolt in,Has ride height adjustment, and will improve the handling dramatically while maintaining a moderate drop thats usable for a daily driver.

How crazy are you going to go is the question?

Every now and then i do take it to the track. I also drive very hard per say so i want it be able to hold up for a while as a daily driven shock.

well those JIC's are discontinued. I guess it is between the Tanabe and Tein's.

As far as a drop goes, I am not looking to go past 1.7 inches.

TIEN all the way!

I know a guy that owns a 93TT Supra. He installed the Tien Flex for his car, and was able to get low 1.8 60ft's on his "Street" tire (Worn 275 DRs). He currently owns the "Fastest stock twin turbo'ed" record with a 11.38 with the TIEN struts playing a LARGE role in obtaining that feat.

While Techno-nerds might say
"Its a TT supra goober, DSM are completly different animals, blah blah." I have seen even the most basic TIEN dampers, and the craftsmenship that goes in these things is un-matched to most companies.

Ether way, FLEX or Basic your gunna love your new TIEN's!

The only problem being the fact that the stuff that's sold to the general public by Tein for DSM's is entry-level, twin-tube garbage.

I spoke with the guys at Tein and i decided to buy the Basic system. He explained the difference between the Basic, Flex, and SS and we decided that the Basic is all i really need. I can always purchase the pillow upper mounts if i really need them seperately in the future.

JICs are junk! I have shock dyno data to prove it!! I have dynoed many of the best shocks in the world.... JRZ, MOTON, KW, PENSKI .... all that jazz and the two worst dampers where JIC and ground controls ADVANCED DESIGN......... Adjusters either did nothing or where very inonsistant.... I would buy AGX before I bought JIC........ Ohh I tested the fl2-a or some shit... what ever one cost the most.......
