o.k., i painted my caliper, since i'm replacing my rotor, i thought i should as well take the caliper off the car and paint it. the problem, i had my car on the jack for a month or so (freaking cold in here) and totally let the brake fluid run out. to make the story short, the other day, i finally got a chance to install my newly painted caliper and brand new rotor. now, i followed the haynes manual to bled the master cylinder and four calipers, i spent at least 30mins doing the job and as soon as i install all the wheels and hop on the car,.. i felt no pressure on my brake pedal
, well, not really. if i pump it twice i felt it, but if i just put my foot and go slowly then theres none.
i haven't had the chance to do the bleeding again, because i want to ask you guys first before i proceed. i bled each caliper at least 5-7mins in each one. i let the fluid flow for about 3mins w/out any more bubbles coming out. so, should i bled it again and spend more time in each wheel? any suggestion? also, i now have bubbles in my fluid reservoir, and even when i fill the reservoir the bubble stays under the strainer. how do i take it out? i cant take the strainer off of it.
i appreciate your time.
