thinking about some jic-flt-a2 or 1s. how far can i drop the car without needing camber correction kits? 95 gst with 17" wheels. I was thinking going down 2" thanks

1" you may get away w/o it, but 2" you'll need the kits front and rear.

you'll need one no matter what

I only say that you may get away w/o it with 1", cuz of reading others post on that say "you may or may not need it" or "some do some don't" mine w/eibach pro's @ approx 1.5" did need it.

hey dookie,

I just checked your pic's and seen your headers, who's are they? looks like pacesetter, are painted or coated and how long you had them and how da ya like em???

Lowered 2Gs always needs a camber kit in the rear. Whether they need something in the front, too, depends on AWD vs FWD and what the car is used for. Drag racing a FWD needs a front camber kit to take out camber. AutoXing an AWD needs a front camber kit to add more camber than you got from just lowering. Middle grounds exist where no front camber kit is required.

Tire wear is more an issue of toe than camber, unless and until camber is something ridiculous.

Thanks for the replies. Arffy the manifold is pacesetter, painted hi-temp silver, its ok, the quality sucks but theyll do for now.

Get a camber kit, The rear is where you will notice most of the problem. You might be able to do the home depot camber kit to solve the rear if you plan on only dropping it 2 inchs but I am not sure.

I had that problem! ^^ Sucks, If you get that problem you have to get the adjustable ball joint style camber kit.

Who makes a decent camber kit for 2g's that are lowered to about 1.5" gap? I heard there are issues with the ingalls kits. Can someone please point me in the right direction? I'm sorry for digging up an old thread.

SP eccentric bushings in the front, DIY bolts and washers in the rear. And please put a bit more effort into searching next time. Cheers.

I heard that the SP bushings in the front wouldn't be able to adjust out the -camber i have from the drop (reminder, it's not a 1.5" drop, it's a drop to where there is 1.5" of gap between tire and well).
