RS wheels on a 1G GST?

Will 97+ RS wheels fit over stock 1G GST brakes? I was told they won't fit over GSX ones, but I'm not sure about GST ones. These are the wheels I'm talking about:

the reason they wont fit gsx's is cause of the bigger brakes.
you might get some major wheel spin with a smaller tire.

Yeah, I know the GSX brakes are bigger, but are the GST ones? I know my traction won't improve but I'm just looking for something to tie me over until I choose a "real" set of wheels. My current ones are super heavy and the offset is wrong.

Yes, the 14" wheels will fit on all FWD cars and on 90-92.5 AWD cars. I have a 14" set on a '91 GSX parts car. Rolls fine.
