How Wide Of A Wheel To Fit 235/45/17??

HOW WIDE OF A WHEEL TO FIT 235/45/17?? I was thinking maybe a 17"X7.5" or can a 17X7" fit?

Oh yea i dont want alot of excessive tire bulge too

I use a 17x8 wheel on my 225/45/17 Falken Azenis. They seem to be a perfect fit.

I use a 17x8 and 38mm offset with my 245/45/17 Falken Azenis's...and they fit great, no rubbing, little bluging, but not much. I have put 255's (Kumho 712's) on the rims and they actually looked a little thiner...the Azenis's seem to be a little wider than they are rated...but they aren't.

So yeh...17.5 could fit a 235...but 17x8 would be best. And yes...you can fit 245s on if you want, with no rubbing...if your offset is 38-42mm The only place I rubbed was on the fender wall in the front tires while turning...but I just took them out...since I don't really want them...

thanx the Ill get 17"X7.5" with a 40mm offset and wrap 235 on them maybe that will help my traction a little bit when i upgrade to a bigger turbo down the road

on my truck i used to run a 17x8 up front with a 215 45.... that was too damn narrow a tire, so i switched to a 235 40... that seemed perfect not too bulgy but provided decent protection to the rim...... the only problem was they rubbed at full lock, didnt help with how low my truck is, so when i switched to the 18/20 combo, i ordered the fronts in an 18x7, and with the 7 inch rim the 225 40 18 seems to be the way to go. so with my experience 235 is nice on an 8, and 225 on a 7
