what are the best lowering coil kits out there? i wanted to lower my car but i have to drive during the winter. can i adjust my car to a high enuff height with coilovers? what are the best kits?

It'll cost you money, but yesterday i just installed a ZEAL Function B6 suspension system, and i couldnt be more satisfied, i could post pics sometime next week

if you want the adjustability of coilovers, trust me DO NOT buy anything but skunk2 or GroundControl. if you want my real advice, go with springs!!! i have a 2g and drive just fine in the winter on a 1.8" drop.
look into neuspeed or eibach prokit.

...and believe me when i say trust me about the coilovers!!! beware.

I'm niew to all of this. Whats the difference between coil overs and springs? Does it affect your ride or performance of the car?

springs are simply replacement springs that are shorter and stiffer than your stock springs(much like cutting a coil or two off your current spring without compromising spring integrity) + springs are stiffer to reduce bottoming out. coil-overs are a sleeve that you slide onto your strut with a "perch" that your new (shorter and stiffer) spring will sit on. You get a completly new spring that comes with the coil-overs usually 6-8-10" tall(which replaces the stock spring which I would say is about 12" long). The ride is adjusted with the "perch" which in simple terms is a large nut that the spring sits on that can be "screwed" up or down on the "sleeve," effectivly adjusting the height. Hope this helps!
