Will 245/45/17 rub?

Will 245/45/17 tires fit on 17x8" Koenig Monsson rims? They are standard offset, but will the tires rub? I may have to downgrade to 16" rims to fit greendots on

If by "standard offset" you mean +46mm, they are going to rub laterally with the knuckle.

For what it's worth, I have 18x8.5" rims with a +35mm offset and I just barely cleared laterally with 255 tires. Vertically I believe I have a bit more room.

I use 245/45/17 on Falken Azenis's...which seem to be closer to 255's if you ask me...they are WIDE

To use them your offset needs to be about 40mm...38-42. My back tires rub the fender (mind you I'm lowered about 2.5") and its only when people ride in the back and I turn or hit little bumps or when I hit a BIG bump on the freeway...so no not bad just need to roll the fenders.

On the front my tires would rub the fender wall..that plastic thing...but only the one in front...so I just took them out and now no rubbing in the front.

Hehehe, don't hijack his thread Yeah yeah, I don't own a digital camera, but I'm sure I'll have some pics up soon. The pic I do have in my gallery is with these tires on, but it's pretty damned impossible to see any detail since it was taken at 10pm

Hahaha how did you find that? Yeah, that's... kinda it See, that's a picture of my OLD car. It was a 1995 Talon AWD, and after an accident I turned it into an eclipse. That picture has my 245/35/18 Dunlop SP8000 tires, and the wheels are 18x8.5 with a +35mm offset.

My current car pretty much looks identical to that one. Exception is that it's a real eclipse, paint job isn't NEW (damnit, I miss that paint job...), and I've got 255/35/18 Kumho Ecsta Supras on it. Same wheels, mods, etc. Actually, more mods since there's a big fmic in the front now, hehe.
