How many people use Green Dot Retreads on AWDs??

What are the pros and cons?

What kind of mileage can you get out of them?

I've not heard of them, I wonder if they're a local supplier to you. We used to have Bandag around here, but retreading is mostly done in the trucking industry. Personally, I'd spend the money on cheap PepBoy tires before going to retreads, but I know how I drive.

They're pretty heavy, I've heard 26lbs for a 225/50r16. Other than that hook up decently. A real sticky z rated tire will just as well though, think BFG KD (stiff sidewall, might not be the best for dragracing), Kumho MX (softer sidewall, also lower price), or falken azenis.
Not to mention all those tires are much better behaved on the street.

I know one person who switched from the green retreads to KDs and said the KDs hooked up better. Solid 1.6s on a crappy preped track.
