I went to a shop yesterday and got a front end alignment, and on the way home I noticed my car was sliding all over at highspeeds on the interstate. Like i had bald rear tires driving in the rain. So I go back and try and get a rear end alignment, they couldnt move the toe bolt. It was seized on there. So I goto another shop and they adjust it, but it wont adjust enough. And my toe is still way out of whack He told me to research and try and find a toe adjuster bracket or something...what do you think? My rear left tire is slightly off...and the rear right side is way off way way off.

Left Rear Tire
Toe: 0.02 (specified 0.00 - 0.24)

Right Rear Tire
Toe: -1.03 (Specified 0.00 - 0.24)

My right is rear off, so do you think its only a bent control arm? A lady dide side swipe me in the side like 2 years ago in the right rear (where they are having all the probs. its did leave a big golf ball size gash above the rim in the 1/4 panel. Do you think it could be that? So do you think I only have to goto a junk yard and get a used control arm? Could it be anything else?
I do have a camber kit if that matters in the rear.

my car had the same problem.... LOL it was going through tires every 2000 miles. I bought the upper control arms (From Mitsu the control arms are like $60 each), then brought it to STS. They said they didnt need to change them, bu thtey put a camber kit in. This allowed them to make the drastic adjustment to fix the alignment. Or your car might have to be pulled. The shop will have to attach the thing to the strut tower and pull it back into shape. Obviously, mine needed both LOL

Dumb Q....did you install the exact same abount of washers on all 4 bolts (on the camber kit).

What happened with your toe problem?? I have the same thing, but I cant fix it. Please let me know what you did exactly to fix the problem.

I just ordered my Tokico HP's and a set of GMPperformance camber kits.

This is very common according to my alignment guy. It's already happened three times to me, with two times my 95 awd and once on my 99 gsx. Unfortunately I haven't looked under there at the toe adjustment in so long it'd be hard for me to describe what parts you need to get. Basically your toe adjustment is seized due to corrosion, and you'll need to replace the bolt, nut, and adjustment "bracket". I also think there's a washer in there. Give Conicelli Mitsu a call (www.partznet.com) and they'll help you figure it out. A shop should be able to get out the bolt and all but will most likely have to destroy the pieces to do so.

Of course if this isn't your problem, please completely disregard the above :)

I just got my adjuster bolts, eccentric washers, and nuts from Conicelli Mitsu (www.partznet.com). My old ones are rusted up solid. I'll have to cut the nut off and pound the bolt out. I might even have to cut out the bushing to get it all removed. Good thing I have the Polyurethanes waiting to go in. I sure hope I get the toe adjustment back when I'm done.

Update on my situation:

I got my tokico hp suspension on with the ingalls camber kit.
I went to NTB and they aligned it and everything is back to spec. It sucked though driving it about 1 1/2 hrs back to my house w/out proper alignment. It was ALL over the road.

yeah, tell me about it. I looked at the rear wheels, and the toe was OUT on them. Now that'll mess up a tire.
