450lb springs too soft for front????

no its not too soft its a little stiff

i have 500lb coile overs front and back and the ride a little rough:thumb:

450 should be more than enough. However, on a 2g (GSX anyways), you can go up to 550lb springs with a halfway decent ride still. I feel sorry for the 1g cars, 550lb springs just completely wrecks the ride on them.

We recommend a good spring up front, 450 might be a little too stiff.

We also recommend a stiffer spring out back. This helps get the tailend around corners.

My Talon has a 350 front spring, and a 500lb rear spring. I'm still playing with the combo, but this is nice.

Of course, the ride is stiff.

I understand having stiffer springs in the rear, but shouldn't that be relative to what was on the rear before? The front of the car is heavier than the rear so you should have a stiffer spring up front than in the rear. Then to help get the rear to come around go stiffer in the rear relative to what was already there. For example, if the front is 400lb's to start and you go up to 500lb's thats an increase of 20%. If the rear was 300lb's and you go 30% then the rears are 390lb's. Still softer than the front but relatively speaking there stiffer in the rear than before. It just seams like 350 front and 500 rear is going to cause way to much oversteer, unless your into drifting. For handleing the goal should be neutral to slight oversteer.

All the numbers I just used are for example only, I'm not saying use 500lb in front and 390lb in rear, or saying increase the front by 20% and the rear by 30%, these numbers where just for example.

i do have 450's in the front by my car seems to crush them. Almost no spacing between coils. The spring stands 6.25 inches tall. I heard thats too short. Where can i buy taller springs??
