ok... I KNOW my spyder is FWD... bout I was told that I should get AWD springs because my car is heavier than a typical FWD... it DOES make sense... but I wanted to get a few opinions first... thanks...

FWD, there's a reason why they have them. AWD has differing rear suspension geometry, etc. You know, they DO make higher spring rates for front wheel drives.

actually... I didn't know... that is why I asked...

where would I go about finding higher spring rates? I KNOW how to make a car go fast, but I do not have the FIRST CLUE when it comes to suspension... where should I look, who should I talk to?

Try giving Ground Control a call, as they sell higher rate Eibachs and such. I also think Tire Rack can order in higher rate springs as well. Just remember, higher rate springs will make the ride a bit more harsh.

I used regular FWD springs by DropZone on my Spyder. They've been on for about 2 years now and I've had no problems whatsoever. They ride nicely as well.

I have had a coilover kit from Procarparts(yeah I know..but they work just fine!) and Tokico Illuminas now...Its a nice ride and I love it.All of this was for a regluar FWD so...I think you will do just fine with regular FWD stuf ;-)
