anyone ever heard of them? a friend of mine found some for pretty cheap, but ive never head of them.

they deacent? garbage? ok?

Be careful with cheap coilovers. I've never personally seen "decent" coilovers that were less than $3-400. More than likely you'll end up with a rough ride.

Lowering springs aren't as important. You can usually get away with a cheap set and be just as good as the more expensive ones. I personally have DropZone springs which costed around $100 off of eBay. I've had them for about 2 years now and have no complaints...good ride and a nice drop.

well, what about with some good shocks (kyb agx) would that help compensate *SOME* for a crappy spring?

dammit, there are just too many options out there, i want SPRINGS.. but I dont want to drop my car more than 1.2 inch or so..

and i dont want to spend over 200 bucks on them either.

Quit being so damn cheap and get a JOB, until you can afford quality products.

What?

you think im some goddamn kid? you ignorant jackass.

the reason im so "cheap" is because i have pay for every goddamn thing ont hsi car, including the car itself..

Im just looking for a good deal you asshole.

ya ever think that just MABY after the house payment, car payment, food, water, electricty, and just MABY a nice night out once in a while.. I dont have enough to pay for brand name shit for every part of my car..

Your mommy buy you your car smartass?

Frankly, if you have so many bills to pay, and have to resort to poor quality products, you shouldn't be modifying your car. Period.

If I am curt with you, it is because I am tired of seeing posts that follow up such purchases of this style: "WAAH MY TEAM-GHETTO-LITESPEED COILOVERS BROKE. WAAH WAAH WAAH." Paying 200 dollars for one of the most important components to your car's handling ability is being totally inane.

And a side note: If you're such an adult, perhaps you should try acting like one.

well, at any rate if your only possable contribution to a post is the stupid "get a job so you can afford it" remark, maby silence would be a better option. especially when you have no clue who your talking to "get a job".:thumb:

ok i have a q:

these springs will lower the car about 1" do i need a cmaber kit to prevent from effing up my tires.. ive asked and i get mixed answers.. some people tell me that as long as ya dont go past 1.5 inch a normal alignment at a shop is all thats needed.. but someone else told me that lowering the car ANY requires a front AND rear camber kit ($160 total)

so, whats the skinny on this.. i dont want to roast my tires or have to rotate them every day.. once a month would be ok, but not every day.

no you dont need a camber kit with that little of a drop.. where did you get those springs? anyone have a link?

i cant decide between eibach sportlines, tein, and susp tech..

You can actually put together a rear camber kit yourself for about $5. All it involves is using longer bolts and spacers (stack of washers or big nuts). There's a write up somewhere on it...let me know if you're interested.

I got them now off e-bay for 170 shipped, usually they can be found for ~190-220

I have some info for you guys on this.
Go to www.roadraceengineering.com and here's what they have to say about the KYB AGX:
"We don't recommend the AGXs for the 2G Eclipse, the 2G front shock body length is too long for car that are lowered at all. If you really want them, we can special order you a set."

I had gotten my AGX's before I knew this. I am running stock springs and don't have a problem. I will be installing and Eibach Pro Kit on them and will let you know how that goes. The Pro Kit drops the car 1.3 both front and rear. I got them off e-bay for $211 shipped w/ insurance.

Go to www.eibach.com and take a look at the application chart they have. It shows that the 2g GSX AWD doesn't need andy camber corrections for the Pro Kit. It also shows you what you should adjust your camber to if you go with the sportline 1.7 drop.

So do a little checking around and you can find some good info.
Happy tuning

I was gonna go eibach, but all their 2g springs say "EXEC SPYDER" which is what i have:cry:

Any 2g springs will fit the Spyder. Eibach only says that because the Spyder weighs a little more than hardtop, and they carry springs specifically made for the Spyder. But it's not necessary.

I got Eibach for my Spyder and they work fine (Pro Kits). The thing is, though, they sold me the GSX version springs (this was over a year ago) because they said the Spyder weighed more than the non-convertible GS-T. I don't know if they have a specific Spyder version now.

ALERT...

that agx stuff is nonsense, it was a part number misshap and they fixed it, i have agxs and they are the right part number acording to the company, and so will acept drops as much as anyother.

Well it looks like my springs will be here Tuesday.. It also looks like Hurricane Claudette will be here tuesday too...:(

Well the power is back on, town has been given disaster releaf.. i got the front 2 springs on.. dropped me about 1.2 or so.. not to bad, wheel hop is a little less, overall im pretty happy, will do the rear ones tommorrow after work.. im working 16 hour days now since the hurricane turned the cable network into crap:cry:

also, i think my shocks are a little screwed.. if you push them in they dont come back out.. getting some Tokicko(SP!) as soon as i can.. and have the time :(

i can tell by looking the tires are a LITTLE farther out on the bottom than the top... just need the camber adjusted i guess, no biggie. wonder how hard that is to do by yourself.. seems like you could just eyeball it and get it pretty dead on i would think

If it was adjustable you could do an okay job yourself...but it's not unless you buy replacement parts.
