Here's a pic of how mine's setup:

(This is the front. I had AMS install all the suspension parts and they put the Hypercoil helper springs up front although I have 8" front springs and the GC upper mounts, so they aren't needed. I'm guessing that if I removed the helper springs in the front and also took out that silver washer at the bottom, I'd get about another 1/2 to 3/4" of possible drop in the front, but....
...here's a pic of the rear:

As you can see, it's maxed out. Since the rear springs are 7" and the stock mounts are used, the helper springs ARE needed. Under full decompression, the springs will fall out of the upper mount's seat. Also, GC notched the threaded collars to fit into the Illuminas tapered spring mount, as they are designed to be used with a cut spring that abruptily stops as well as a machined-flat bottom. They are properly seated in the rear, but the silver washer used up front is pushing the collars up higher.
So basically, the front I know what I can do to obtain a little more drop, but I'm since I wouldn't mind lowering the car about another 1/2", I'm wondering what I can change on the REAR setup (other than installing Koni's
) to allow for more drop?

Well, if you want to go low that is. For autox and road race where you dont lower the car as much the longer springs are good to keep them in contact with the upper and lower mounts. I use 6" springs along with the GC upper mounts, and I can set the damn car on the ground
