Sumitomo HTR Z II is n e one running these?? my potenza just died yesterday :( due to me not getting my car aligned so what do you guys think.........

Hope you don't mind if I piggy-back on your thread. Yeah, about Sumitomo's, quality in general, and how 'bout the HTR+ compared to the Z II's? In a 225/45/17 size on a 97 GSX with stock rims?

Thanks.

The HTR+'s are very nice. I've got them on my car now. This is my second set. The last set lasted me a year but I ran the tire pressures too high early on and so they just continued to wear out the middle. I was jacking up the tire pressures to get the feel I wanted and to keep the tire from rolling during agressive turns. I've since put tokico's on for the feel I want and tire pressures are back down to norm. I expect to get about a year and a half out of these.

The HTRZII's are alot stickier. The down side is they won't last as long. They grip like a mofo and almost won't let go. I know three 2gAWD guys that run them. Two of them auto-x those tires. I wanted my tires to last a little while longer so I went with the +'s. Good tires in my opinion. Just not alot of people know about them.
