I do not think theyare very good, are the R1? I just recently bought a suspension kit to lower my car and went with springs and shocks/ struts. I was thinking about going your route, but after doing research found out that it is better to go ofr well known, good set-ups. It is better to spend the extra little money than have coil-over sleeves for a short time work.
I got my kit, purchased seperatly, for about $400. Thats Springs and shocks/struts. Eibach springs, KYB Gas shocks/struts.
But my guess is you could drop it pretty low. I have a 1g and have about 3.5" to play with. Only dropping about 1/2 that. I got 16's too..... SO you should be good

alright ya i think i will drop it 2 inches. Ya i just hope the coilovers hold up, i don't really care if it rides rough cuz right now my springs are niger rigged by having them clamped together (the guy that had it before did it) so it rides really rough but its manageable. so ya the springs i got are the R1's and i'm gonna use the stock strut and shock or whatever so....

Not sure about that. I heard some good/bad stories about R1's. Mainly just wearing out, but take care of them, and no problem, that is why it might be best to get new shocks/ struts too.
