Few days ago I lowered my car on Sportlines, KYB shocks, and Eibach camber kits. They all installed fine, and naturally the alignment was totally whack. So I took it in today for a 4-point alignment. Toe and Caster was able to be done fine and they were able to get the rear camber done pretty much to spec, but the mechanic told me the front camber could not be adjusted? Not sure exactly, I'm guessing that there was not enough degree in the kit to adjust it properly. Here are my front readings:

LF
Actual: +1.28
Before: +1.47
Specified Range: -0.58 to +0.42

RF
Actual: +0.65
Before: +0.99
Specified Range: -0.58 to +0.42

Should I look at getting another front camber kit? If so, what would be the best for my current front camber settings so that I can get it into spec? TIA :thumb:

get a front camber kit if you want. my front doesn't have a camber kit and i'm about .75 degrees out of spec and the alignment guy said i'd see about 15% more tire wear max... so thats about like 6000 miles on a set of tires. but your right and left camber are way different from each other so i'd get a kit and get that taken care of.

nm i'm stupid and didn't read your thing right. Go back and ask the guy why he couldn't adjust it. I don't know why one side is so far off fromt the other, that doesn't seem right, since you have the kits on.

Interestingly enough I was told by someone (shuwa) on 2GNT that dropping the car adds negative camber, so adding the kids should add some positive to it. In my case it looks maybe too much was added and they must be at the lowest setting they can go? Should I throw my stocks back on? Hm..

well there are two types of camber kits. one type will adjust +1.5-3 degrees and another one will adjust like +.75-1.5 degrees. You might have gotten the kit that will adjust more and your camber wasn't bad enough to need the extreme kit, so you might have to sell that kit and get the lesser adjustment kit. Does that make sense? Also those numbers are approx. they vary brand to brand.

Overboost.com (where I got them from) claimed they were +/- 0.75 degrees of adjustment.. hm, so, what kit should I look for based upon what I have now? Should I throw the stocks back on maybe?

Now after looking what all I had gotten, I noticed Overboost ended up shipping me the Specialty Products camber kit.. on the box it says "Change Camber +1.75 to +3.25." This help with diagnosing my problem? Maybe give you an idea of what kit I need to get instead? Heh, sorry to bug you guys, just new to suspension tuning OMG

yeah they gave you an extreme camber kit. Your camber wasn't that far out. You should call them and have them send you the right one. You need one that does the +- .75 degrees or whatever the first one you mentioned was. Then they should be able to get it aligned right.
