Brake Options

[Turbo 420a]

I was down at the wrecking yard yesterday looking for some parts for my beater-mobile Honda CRX. I happened to stumble upon a 2g GSX that had been rolled in an accident. While the body was mutilated it looked as if the brakes were still in great condition. Will the GSX brakes fit our 2g FWD? If not, what is another possible setup anybody knows of for a decent price?

I want more stopping power but am hesitant to take out a mortgage for a set of Brembo's/AEM brakes

Yeah if you get the caliper and rotor then it will fit. Keep in ming though it may not work with your stock size wheels. So if you don't have 17"rims or if you throw the 16s back on in the winter be wary.

for $600 you can get the big brake package from RRE. it is the dsm upgrade. very nice and for the price you can't beat it. if you found some take asap.

I think they do accaully but I don't think that they are what we would call a BIG brake kit!

I dunno if they're bigger than GS disc brakes but the GS disc brakes are TINY by comparison to lots of vehicles. If they are bigger and you can't afford a BBK then upgrade them otherwise it's not worth the effort.

Thanks guys for all of the input. Going to go run down and snag those GSX brakes before anyone else does! Might as well order some stainless steel brake lines to go with that

moved to a bigger (and i guess the most correct) forum for this question. although i'm not really sure whether brakes fall under suspension or driveline/tranny more.

The GSX 2 pistion calipers and rotors will fit behind 16" wheels.
