Has anyone ever heard of a "loose" (meaning the damn nut was almost off) lower control arm causing the upper control arms to go bad???

My friend works at the dealership and we finaly did the recall. Well 2 months later I am having to replace both upper control arms. Coincidence? He tried to get them fixed under warranty...no dice.
Any comments would be appreciated!

The upper control arm has a ball joint to allow twisting action and two pivot points to allow up and down movement. Chances are that with a 95 year model car... it was just time to go. Good time for camber correction kit on the front though.
