Would making the switch hurt the handling in tight turns because although it's 1 size wider it also has a higher sidewall profile. I did make that exact switch one time on my 1g N/T with handling AND ride compliancy being noticeably better but I also didn't put the N/T into the turns like I do this turbo car. Definitely don't want to go 2 sizes wider to 225's either just to keep side profile the same as it is now. Any thoughts?

I would suggest going 215/50 incase. But these sizes the tires/ brand you want may not be available. I'm on 17inch 2gb gsx wheels 215/55, no rubs, only when making very tight turns on drive ways, but my car is slam though.

I'll probably get 215/55/16's from tire rack and put on fronts only just to make sure I like the handling characteristics. Btw would having a different brand 215/55's on front while keeping 205/55's on back (same rims tho) for a 1 day test drive be a problem at all?
