I had to re-run hard lines that were cut and removed from the car to the rear brakes. I purchased 3/16" brake line tubing and ran it each way. Connected to existing hard lines with no problems.

I purchased new hoses for the drivers side. That side went in with no problem. I wasn't originally going to replace the hoses on the passenger side, but decided to since, well, it made sense to have new ones back there. Ends up that the hose I purchased doesn't have a 3/16 female end like the other side, yet it fits perfectly on the caliper.

What do you think I should do? Would using a larger steel nut for the hard line work (and seal)? Should I get an adapter to fit?

Not sure at what point things went t*ts up with your setup but OEM flare fittings on Diamond Stars are a metric thread (M10x1 IIRC) that looks very similar to the fittings on US sized 3/16 flared tubing.

The threads are not supposed to interchange (weird that the one side fit) but the tubing is compatible with either fitting so you can put the original fittings on the new tubing if you have/are adept with a double flare tool.

Do you still have all the original flare fittings? I fear you may have force-adapted the threads (dangerous!) on the driver-side, unless I misunderstand somehow.

Don't have the originals. Yeah the brake line I purchased was 3/16" so I bought 3/16 steel nuts for it. Like I tard, I should have remembered as you said that it is metric. None the less, I realize that the driver's side was forced. No worries at least, putting a new one on is easy. I purchased a 3/16" to M10 adapter and it fits just fine now. Thanks for the confirmation.
