Precautions before taking rear caliper off?

Well, it's time to replace the rear rotors. The left rear is very warped and vibrates noticably when cruising. The caliper bolts seemed pretty fused on, it's possible this bizzatch will break off when trying to remove it.

Beside using some WD to loosen it a bit, any other suggestions as to get the bolts out succesfully?

Get this, I bought my NEW rotors for $13 each! The brake pads are pretty nice ones as well.

Hopefully they will come out somewhat smoothly and it shuoldn't take more than 1/2 hr to do them then.

eh, just break it and replace it

thats what happened when we changed the front rotors on my friends tsi. talk about suck. we tryed for hours with a torch to heat it enough, pound it loose, broke two taps. it sucked. we ended up taking it to a machine shop to get taken out and rethreaded.
