Where does this part go?

Hey I don't know where to start in my 700 page factory manual for a part I don't even know the name of

Can someone tell me where this goes? It's been about 6 months, HOWEVER I do know it goes somewhere on the underbody, driveline area.

My guess is the contol arm, but dont take me to seriously, im tired. :/

It's a suspension stay. It bolts between the crossmember and the frame.

Haha, okay. It could be though, the plate was lying underneath the car near the front 02 sensor area so it easily could have been moved... I'll check but I don't remember taking it out that area.

It was a forgettable piece for me until I had to reinstall it.

What a PITA -- and it shouldn't have been. Like most things, be sure to get all bolts "started" before torquing any one of them down. That's my helpful tip.

Yeah I agree I was looking under the car for a while like WTH? I was so close to getting it right but didn't quite figure it out. First I have to clean the oil soaked bolts so I don't accidently over torque them (I stripped one like that recently, )

Anyway I should have this all buttoned up tomorrow after the passenger axle shaft. Thanks Brian, Brian, and Shawn

It took me a little while to find the "stay" in the manual so I thought I should throw up tips on where to find it. It's located in the powerplant mount section, where they talk about the centermember and roll stoppers. It's got 6 bolts but the longest bolt goes through the stay AS WELL AS the centermember TO the crossmember.

Ah screw it, I'll just put a picture up. It's shown on page 1597 of 2103. It's also mentioned in the steering section on page 1794 of 2103. All found in the 97-99 Eclipse factory manual.
