I am going to get some lightweight 16s soon and was wondering what size tire would be best for best traction?

Like 205/50 or 55 maybe? thinking 45s would be too skinny....

225/50 16 or 225 45 16 cant remember which one .. traction would have more to do with the first number... which is width of the tire. the more tire that hits the ground .. the more traction you have. the second number is the percentage of the first number that the side wall is in comparison. so if you have lets say 200/50/ 16 that would mean the width is 200mm and the sidewall is 100mm. hope that helps you.

haha yeah I know what the numbers on a tire mean, thanks anyways
I just thought anything bigger than a 205 on the car would bee too much.
Plus the taller the tire the less it should spin because there is more mass to push... like I think Shepard's 9 sec. des uses like a 55 or something huge like that.
so its ok to put 225 on a dsm? did't know they had that big of a wheel well.
Don't mind me I am a newbie to the world of dsms....:D
