Has anyone heard of Stempf Extreme range adjustable ball joint kit for front and rear? I recently got a new suspension (Tein Flex), and the alignment guy says its the best kit to correctly fix my camber and caster problem. The only problem is its price (600). He says camber/bushing kits wont totally fix the problem, because they dont have enough range to fix it to spec. The car was aligned; but all that did was correct the toe. Who knows the exact specified ranges for 2g eclipses? Here is what he said:

Left Front Right Front
Actual \ Specified Range Actual \ Specified Range
-1.4' -0.6' 0.4' Camber -1.8' -0.6' 0.4'
0.4' 3.2' 6.2' Caster 5.5' 3.2' 6.2'
0.00' -0.12' 0.12' Toe 0.00' -0.12' 0.12'

Left Rear Right Rear
Actual \ Specified Range Actual \ Specified Range
-2.5' -1.8' -0.8' Camber -2.6' -1.8' -0.8'
0.10' 0.00' 0.24' Toe 0.10' 0.00' 0.24'

The 'Actual' is what my car is at now. The 'Specified Range' is what the OEM specs are, or at least what would be the least resistance to tire wear. Just wondering if this looks familiar to anyone. So basically, this stainless steel ball joint kit gives more adjustability than the bushing/camber kits sold online, which should fix the problem he says. Has anyone heard of suck a kit? He says you cant order it direct. The possible reason my left caster is so bad could be of a recent broen control arm that I replaced. I tire blew out on a manhole. Is this kit worth it? Am I wasting my money on a camber kit that will not fix the problem? He's done the ball joint kit for mainly Hondas in the past.
I need a 2nd or 3rd opinion.

specialty products have adjustable ball joints, from 0-1.5 deg and 1.5 to 3 deg. theyre like 90 a peice and they are for the front.

Watch out for clearance to the frame if you have the car lowered very far and use a adjustable balljoint.

Front camber is fine, out of spec, but not a problem. I would pull rear camber back to about -1 degree unless you like understeer.

What year arms did you get when you replaced the pieces? You have to use 97+ arms on 97+ cars. They changed the suspension in 97 so that the right side had more caster than the left, to compensate for our off camber roads. Check a real service manual for specs, to the best of my knowledge the spec between right and left should be different.

Where can I find more info on these specialty ball joint kits and their prices? Stemph Aoutomotive is all I was recommened. I know Ingall makes a camber kit, nit sure of their specs. And Stemph is wholesale at $105 per front wheel, $35 each for the rear. The alignment guy I used wanted $150 each wheel. Another guy I went to never even heard of them. Are most people on these forums just driving around with negative camber then? Ive seen cars with 2", 3" drops. Mine is just 1.5. and 1.9 in the rear? doesnt make sense; why am I only having this problem? 0.5 caster on the left front wheel is BAD. its way off.

Ok, I just found the answer to my above question on ride height, so dont answer that. Seems I'm not really supposed to lower my front more to 1.9 front and 1.5 rear. Im pretty sure thats where I'm at anyway, I did tell the guy to call Tein to get the specs cause I didnt have a printout of them on me. When my left arm broke, I'm guessing my mechanic ordered 97 control arm. He's done work on my car before, so he knew the year. not sureOMG I see what youre saying about the right being more than the left, but still at 0.4 on the left, thats pretty bad; way off from 3.2. I gotta call that guy and see where he got those specified range specs. Any online links to service manuals?

I don't know of any online, you could see if your local shuck's, napa, etc.. has a haynes manual. They're not always accurate though.

That caster is definetly wrong, I think that something else may be bent, have the mechanic look at it again.
