Well heres proof that some people shouldnt be trusted to work on their own car. I got this talon a few months ago and the previous owner to had the bright idea to stick 245/45/17s on it.

So with that being said I was thinking to take those off and stick 225/45/17s on there. I know its pushing it but what do you think? Or do you think i should go with 215/50/17s?

Holy crap, 245's on the stock 6.5" Rims is beyond retarded unless you're trying to run the widest Hoosiers you can for G Stock, and even then it's dumb.

I'd say go for 205 or 215.

205 is smaller than factory so Im not going there. Plus I've got an L3R waiting to go under the hood. I dont think 205s would like that very much.:thumb:

yeah you can run 225 50s on the 92 rim because its 16 inches. Id have to go with 45s on the 17 inch wheel.

A higher grip tire is better than a crappy 1 cm wider tire.

There's really not much range in the 215 range for "performance" tires, but strangely there's a lot more for 205.
