Wheels and tires, 235

Hi, what is the widest tires you can safely put on a 17x7 wheel. Is 235's safe for that rim? And if I was to get 17x8-9's, has anyone had problems with 245 tires? Thanks for your time.

17x8 would be what you would want for the 235 wide. 17x7 is just too narrow for a tire that wide.

Make sure you get the right offset. You don't want them sticking out way to far..
