Yup, here's a part list and part numbers for the rear LCA's and sway bar set-up

Rear sway bar / MR369694 / $44.56 each / Qty required, 1
Rear sway bar end link / MR333762 / $14.78 each / Qty required, 2
Rear sway bar end link nut / MB288653 / $0.94 each / Qty required, 4
Rear sway bar bushing / MR272717 / $2.95 each / Qty required, 2
Rear sway bar bushing bracket / MR369748 / $1.36 each / Qty required, 2
Rear sway bar bushing bracket bolt / MF241281 / $0.94 each / Qty required, 4
Lower control arm left / MR369664 / $30.71 each / Qty required, 1
Lower control arm right / MR369665 / $30.71 each / Qty required, 1

There are different sway bar part numbers for the 2.4 and 3.0. The ones above are the 3.0, they should have came with a larger rear bar.

And UCA part numbers...

Upper control arm left MR369955
Upper control arm right MR369956

Rear spindals are the same as well, same part number.

These are GreenGoblin's pictures of the parts on his car. Hope it's ok with him that I post them...

And a How-To on Mitsu-Media

the 3g's are tubular so people are thinking that they are stronger than the stamped steel 2g's. I got a set from the junkyard for cheap so I will be givin them a try.

What kind of updates are you looking for? I ordered all the parts for the rear sway bar new, but they won't be here until Wednesday.

And just a little FYI, suspension techniques sells a 22mm sway bar for the 3g for $150 which include new bushings. So we have a 22mm rear sway bar option now. The RMDSM rear sway bar for the AWD is only 20mm.

Keep in mind that the 3g sway bar will only work on FWD to my knowledge.

On the lower arms, it looks like it will work on a AWD. However I have not put my car on the ground so I will not say that they will work yet. It looks like it will but I can not confirm it.

Looks good. How much did the toe arms cost you. Col you point me to who made them. I'd like a set.

Did you face the two thread tabs on the arm facing up or down?

I paid roughly $175 for both. I haven't talked to the guy in years who made them, and I don't think he makes them anymore. I can disassemble one and take pictures of all the pieces if you would like? The car is still in the air.

I faced the tabs upwards, with the end link mount facing the rear of the car. The 3G bar is shorter than the 2G bar once it "turns" to the front.

Just to add to this, I did have a "little" issue with the install.

The bolt spacing on the 3G brackets is farther apart than on the 2G. Here's a picture, the bottom holes (which you cannot see) are lined up. 2G in the background, 3G foreground:

I had to elongate both holes inward to match. 5 minutes worth of work.

Now they fit perfect.

Could you not use the 2g bracket with the 3g bushing?
I'm guessing not.

That's ok. I pretty much know how to build them. I was just hoping I could by a set and save myself some time. I'm lazy some times.

Yea, I tried the 2G bracket first but the bushings is to big. I was hoping two bushing were the same size, just the sway bar hole was larger on the 3G. Nope, haha.

I know what you mean, trust me. Just wish there was someone close that could make all the stuff I need made. I've read through your thread on MM about 3 times. You're a pretty innovative person. I just wish someone sold the front lateral arms with the bearings in them, that would great.

So with the 3g sway bar you have to have it connect under the control arm? You can't install it over the control arm like the 2g one?

No, I tried that first with the stock control arms to see if it would work. There was no way about it.

No, not yet. I'll know when I put the car down on the ground today.

Edit

The bottom of the bar sits ~3.5 inches from the ground

Heres a picture of the ride height also just for reference:

And the rear tires are bald also.

How much clearance was there with the stock bar? I'm assuming it was irrelevant due to how it mounted?

You can still use the 3G control arms with a stock/aftermarket 2G sway bar. You just have to orientate them differently.

So that with that said, can I use a stock/aftermarket 2g GSX sway bar but use the 3g control arm setup together?

That way we get the benefit of tubular control arms (or later some thicker custom tubular), and still get to keep our sway bar on a 2g gsx?

This question being asked by a n00b road racer looking at what mods I can do for my suspesion at the track.

I have the 3g arms mounted on my car. They appear that they will work but untill I put my axles in I really can't say yeah or nay.

psycho,

Just a thought, what if you swap the control arms? Then the swaybar mount will be on top, so more clearance for the toe bar... Or did you try it?

The sway bar mount on the control arm actually faces the rear of the car, not up or down. I can flip the control arm so the mount faces forward but the sway bar doesn't have the curvature to make the angle up, around and down the front side of the toe arm.

I tried to do this to see if stock control arms would work but it's the sway bar that I was having a prolem with. It just doesn't work. So to be able to use the 3G sway bar, you have to use the 3G control arms.

If you have a FWD, you can use the 3G arms with a 2G bar, as shown from the pics in post #2. Everything bolts together. We won't be able to tell if it will work on an AWD until Kevin drops his car or if someone else tries.
