1G 90 fwd use 3000gt NA brakes?

Ok my room mate just crashed his 98 3000 gt n/t base .I have searched to see If I can use his brakes on my car but the only thing that comes up is awd cars! I have a 1990 FWD.So my question is can I use his brakes?I can basically take the rotors and calipers off and lines too if they will wok?

Plan and simply put yes, you need the bracket that the caliper mounts to, but they do bolt up.

Are they the four piston big brake upgrade? If they are I believe you need bigger wheels.

No they are the 2 piston non turbo calipers,Do I use his rotors also? and what brake lines do I use?

Yes, use the 3000 gt caliper. Just take the entire caliper off the 3000 gt and it will bolt up to your DSM. Use your stock lines or buy SS lines.

Direct bolt-on, there the same dual piston brake set-up as 93-94 turbo model dsm, galant vr4, 95-99 2g dsm, I recommend picking up a new set of oem rotors,there cheap

Yea its a direct bolt on, I just did the same swap on my 90 Laser. My rear calipers were sticking so I decided to upgrade the the front while I was at it. I bought 98 3000gt n/t calipers off ebay and just bought pads and rotors for the 3000gt and everything fit perfectly. Wish I would have seen this thread before I did mine I would have jumped all over those OEM rotors over the Napa units I got.

I have these on my car. Im regreting it these days. Ill be talking them off this winter so i can run a nice 15" wheel for some good slicks. =D So, if you plan on taking your car to the track or just taking some weight off there is not a need to upgrade your brakes.

Yea it is, only some of the 95 AWDs have a different hose. I had to replace all my brakes anyway they were getting crusty and the LR caliper was sticking, overall im happy with the improvement in braking and it was easy and cheap to do. My only regret is not getting the OEM rotors, the Napa ones are already starting to rust.
