Carol Stream, IL,
is there any easier way to cut the bumpstops then taking out the whole strut assembly? I need to cut them bad cuz they hit all the time.

also when i cut them will they affect my alignment? (ie camber)

Cutting them won't affect your alignment, but AFAIK the only way to cut them is to take apart your shocks and springs. You'll probably need new ones anyways if you've been hitting for a while - I know mine were shot when I took out my stock shocks. You should be able to get a bit of a look at them if you jack up your car and take off the wheels, but you'll be peering between spring coils.

Sure you could cut them while on the shock was still installed if your really careful.
Jack the car up, remove the wheels, pull the bumpstop down to where you can easly see it and take a hack saw blade through the spring coils and carefullly cut most of the way through them. Slit the part your tossing with a razor parallel to the shaft and pull them apart. You might be able to use the razor or an exacto knife for the whole thing, depends on how small you hands are for getting at them.
