Ive searched and yet to find a real answer. Will 245/45R17s fit on a stock suspended FWD 1G without rubbing or spacers? Im running stock 17x8 EVO 8 wheels, I know they will fit on the wheels fine im just worried about rubbing on the car. I don't have an issue running the 235/45R17s but I can get a better deal on the 245/45R17 tires locally.

That's the tire size I'm running right now but i'm awd and lowered 1.5 inches i only rub on extremely hard turns. But only when i turn right.:hmm: I guess i could look under there and see what's rubbing.

I know this is an old thread but 245/40-17 is closer to the stock rolling diameter and avoids the rubbing issue the 45 series has. My Evo wheels came with 245/45 rubber which rubbed the front spring perches of my 1g. The 245/40 tires got rid of the rubbing and kept the speedo/odometer more accurate.

Do they stick out past the fender on the front?

I have a custom set of wheels, they're 17x8 and im running 245/40's I don't think I would run a 45 series, because of the reasons mentioned above. The 245/40 already has a good deal of meat to it. so to answer your quest the 245/45 will work, but rub some.. the 245/40 is more ideal.

Im running 245/45/R17 Toyo Proxes 4 tires on my Evo rims, they fit great and i have Zero rub issues, i have H&R race Springs and AGX's
