A friend of mine has it on his GSX. IMO, for the money spent it worth it. His car is a little stiff and bouncy while on the lowest setting, but the car handles like it was on rails.

Stiff, bouncy, rails, huh? That's three direct contradictions.

They come all together, just as shown. Note the adjustable shock length and adjustable spring seat.

What's the difference between the tein SS and the flex besides the pillowball upper mounts? Can you convert the SS into a flex by adding the pillowball upper mounts?

I'm going to answer my own question. I looked at the Tein website. It doesn't look like they are the same. The front spring rate is a little higher the flex (10 kgf/mm versus 9 kgf/mm on the SS). You can adjust the front spring rate on the high end twice as much on the flex (+4 kgf/mm versus +2 kgf/mm on the SS). You also get a little more height adjustability with the flex. And the flex is compatible with EDFC while the SS is not. But the pillowball upper mounts are available for the SS for what looks like $300 for the front and rear. But it looks like if you're ever going to get the pillowball upper mounts for the SS, you're better off spending the money up front and getting the flex because you'll have spent just $130 less to get the SS + P/U versus buying the flex.

igs - are we going to get a review? Do you know anybody with JIC FLT-2A that you can compare with?

The Tein Flex setup looks pretty good. I see that they are using the lower mount as the means to adjust height....... Same as the JIC FLT-A2 setup. If they perform as well as Tein says they should be very compareable in performance to the FLT-A2's. With the only "real" advantage being that the EDFC can be used when using the Teins.

Tein Flex's are also cheaper than the FLT-A2's by about 400 (+/- 50 bucks) dollars.

We'll have to play wait and see.

Just an update:
I called Tein today and was told that it should be another month or two before the Flex system is available.

what? Im not sure why they told me that then....I called them once in early jan and was told that they would be available in spring of this year...I called them again today and they told me 1-2 months????? This is crap....I have been waiting for this suspension since last year. Thanks for letting me know larry. Some heads are gonna roll now....

in the pics of the flex setup above....on the shocks on the left and the right....is there another piece that connects to the bottom?? it looks like there should be.

No, the front is different from the rear.

i know the front is different from the rear, but from what ive seen of other struts, there is a rectangular piece at the bottom that sticks out and has holes in it...

like in this picture of the flex
