Brake and Rotor Decision!!

Its time for me to get new rotors and pads so i was wondering if you guys could give me some advice on a nice setup which won't cost me a fortune. BTW they are for the rear. I was thinking of getting either Powerslot slotted rotors or Powerstop cross drilled rotors with either EBC green stuff, metal masters, or porterfield pads. Let me know what you guy think would be the best setup! Thanks

Well truthfully, it depends on your preference. I would suggest power slot rotors all around simply becuase the cross drilled ones crack always. If you look closely around the holes and you will see slight cracks. I have them and I have seen alot of peoples and they always crack slightly mine included. The EBC green stuff pads are nice. I have the red on my car but my room mate has the green. I say get either of those pads with the power slot rotors. Hope that helps.

Slotted/Crossdrilled rotors are not worth the money. I autox ALOT and have found the plain old Brembo rotors work just as well and they are cheap too ($230 shipped to my house for ALL 4 from Tire Rack). I have also been told that Powerslot uses these rotors and just puts the slot in them.

As for pads, I have heard too many horror stories about the EBC pads. I dont have any personal experience with them, so I can really comment. I have the Carbotech Panther Plus and they will stop you on a dime, but the do dust a bit.
