I had a GST 2 years ago and sold it. when i had it there was thread on here talking about a better/stronger check valve and the part #. Anyone remember seeing a thread like that or better yet know of a part# for one?

The stock valve is pretty wimpy. Can get blown open fairly easily. It's really cheap sold as a separate part like a few pennies. I went thru a non automotive vendor to get a replacement that was rated at a higher than need temperature, isn't damaged by petroleum products and has a back pressure of around 190psi. All metal construction. In the car in this application it can't get blown open. Works great. Cost about 16 bucks for the hi psi hi temp one way check valve and have had no problems with it since installing it. I will have to dig up my ordering info. I found a local distributor at a plumbing shop. I was having a problem with the Talon blowing the stock brake booster check valve open and pressurizing the brakes; causing them to depress the brake pedal, eliminate any pedal freeplay and apply the brakes. iI set a couple brake pads/calipers on fire. It was a bi***. i eliminated all the possiblities and everything pointed to the check valve. All my mechanic friends and the dealer assured me that that could not be the problem. Couldn't happen. Wasn't possible. I got suckered and bought another stock brake booster line with built in one way check valve installed with the valve going the right direction. Still happened. At no boost or low boost it didn't happen. As soon as I boosted on the car past 7psi or so I would feel the brakes start to drag. 15psi and I would have to pull over and have a fire extinguisher handy. I replaced every part of the brake system; New rotors, new brake pads, new wheels bearings (to eliminate any possibility)New stainless steel brake lines, four brand new brake calipers for all four corners. Converted to dot4 brake fluid and thoroughly tested and approved the stock brake booster/brake master cylinder. I bought a 16 dollar valve and the problem was fixed

?hmm yeah the day i bought the car (old talon) I was at stock boost. Well I hit 14lbs and went to hit the brakes and NOTHING. Well make a long story short I found a thread here about a check valve with number bought it from the Auto store. It was only like 5 bucks and it lasted at 20 psi on the 14b. A friend of mine got it too and he was pushing 20psi on a gt35. So it held good just can't find the thread or the part #.
