Victoria,
I had another thread going a while ago, now I have a lot more narrowed down and I've done some fender rolling, yet still.. the rub.

I'm on 17x8 38mm offset rims with 235/45/17 rubber.

originally I was rubbing on the front and the rear fenders.. I rented a fender rolling tool and fixed all that.. yet still I'm getting this rubbing from the front left side (the side that sits the lowest) I hear it most while decelerating in 3rd, if I push in the clutch the noise is gone.. this led me to believe some drivetrain issue, but it's not, because I put on my donut tire on the front left and there's no noise at all.

I put some tape on the upper control arm, and no sign of rubbing there, and i don't see how there could be with 38mm offset.. there's enough room for my hand in between the tire and the control arm with the car just sitting on the ground.. so I don't see how it would rub there through the suspension travel.. I've seen some people with only a few mm clearance in there.

So I guess my question is, where could the tire possibly rub other than the fender or the control arm? because it's not rubbing on either.. I just don't get it, I've been trying to figure this out for a while with no luck, please help me out here.

Probably except for suspension, I have basically the same setup. I'd guess it's fender interference from too much lowering (you don't mention this in your profile) and/or too soft a spring. I have a 1" drop and 400lb front springs and 235/45/17 @ 8"x38mm never rub.

I updated my profile.. I really did pull my fenders out quite a bit in the front, there's no apparent rubbing at all.. but I am just leaning to getting some new suspension here, I'm getting frustrated with this... but if that didn't solve my problem I'd be choked.
