Im planning on buying Rota Slipstream wheels, but im not sure what the bolt pattern and offset is for my 1st gen Talon. I know its a 5 bolt lug pattern, but thats about it. Please Help!!!

I run the slipstreams. 16x7 with 225/50 BFG g-force with a 38mm offset. But, that is on a 2g. The 225/55 would fit, but they were WAY too close in the rear.

way to close in the rear what suspension are you running? ^^

im a big fan of the slipstreams also.

The tires that im going to use are hoosier quick time pro, 26x9.5x16. those should give me more than enough grip. I think with a 45mm offset that should work. They come in a 40 and 45 from what ive seen at least.

Ill post up pics of the finished product for sure but theres alot of dsm's that ive seen that have that set up, or at least something very very similar. The one that comes to mind is evil_eagle's wheel tire combo. I think it looks great.

Hmmm. . . i was under the impression that you want to stretch the tire as much as you can. Tons less sidewall to compress and whatnot. I haven't done much research into wheels and tires yet though. So i'm probably wrong.

Ya, all im going for is for drag racing and thats it, the hoosier tires dont last all that long from my understanding. The reason Im going for the new wheel tire setup is because the car is going to be a deticated track car. No more street dirving.

I've just spent a lot of time reading looking into which route I want to go for suspension, koni/ground control is the best bet in my opinion.. all the autoX guys seem to go that way.. and they'be been through the ropes with their suspension so I trust that judgement..

And there's no way you can go wrong when the koni shocks, eibach springs that come with the GCs, and the GCs themselves are all warrantied for life.. check konis racing history..

Don't get AGXs

I remember there being a 1G/2G issue with AGXs in the past (too lazy to search), but I've had the AGX's for years on my 1G and has worked out great for me. Definitely want to get a spring matched for the dampening, and see that GC does just that :dsm:
