in front of the tires we have that black pastic piece. I wanted to cut a hole in it so air could come through but then i thought that might look bad. So.. I removed the plastic piece all together. I didn't like that cause you could see inside the front of the car. So. I went out and bought big truck plastic black mud flaps. I installed them where the plastic goes and cut out a "U" shape in them. Now, when Im going fast the flap will open and let air in to cool the brakes, but when im stopped, the flap closes and you can't even tell its there.

What do you think about that?

bad idea for anyone with a cold air intake, i dont have the splash shield that he's talking abotu and my filter is constantly getting dirty and with pick up a bunch of crap that the tire shoots up. if you dont have a cold air intake it might be an ok idea i would think, but seriously reconsider it if the roads have dirt or sand on them and/or you have a cold air intake
