I just recently installed some KYB GR2's on my car with some Drop zone Coilovers. It was kind of a cheapo suspension but anything was going to be better than what I had, plus an ex-dsmer sold me the kit for cheap, unused. My question is now that I have the whole thing done whenever I drive over a bump pothole anything, I hear a faint clunking in the front and a HORRIBLE loud rattle/clunk in the rear. I was thinking it was coming from the springs being to short and losing contact with the top hat on the bumps? Bump stops are in and fresh cut them so they shouldn't be bottoming out. Im thinking I need to raise my coilovers as high as they will go? This just dosen't seem right to me because it would serve kind of the opposite point of coilovers. My ride hieght has only changed by an inch or so, front and rear. The top bolts that connect the top hat to the strut is another problem, I cant get them tight because it ends up spinning the inside of the strut. I put a pair of vice grips way up as high as I could get it to hold it and keep it from spinning but even after tightening the struts as much as I can I still get the noise just as bad as before!!!
