95 GST suspension for under 500 with noticeable drop? I've heared sportlines aren't the way to go so what is?

I would recommend the tokico ilk suspension. That kit comes with their progressive rate springs and their illumina 5 way adjustable shocks. I have this kit on my ride and think its amazing. They claim a 1.6" drop for the gst but I think it is slightly more. The pics in my gallery will show you what the drop looks like. The springs/shocks were designed to work together so you get a package that you know will preform properly. With the shocks on their softest setting the ride is abit firmer then stock. With the shocks set on the firmest setting they are pretty firm, fine for shorter drives but on long/rough trips you tend to notice it. I have mine set at 3/4 and highly recommend them. I picked up the set off a vendor on ebay, I think I paid $450 for them. They also make the same package with their blue shocks, which aren't adjustable but are abit cheeper. If your going with the package I think its worth the bit extra to get the adjustables.

I wonder how Tokico's HP Blue shocks with Tokico springs handle compared to the same shocks with Eibach Pro Springs. One would think that since it is a "kit", it would be made for use with each other. Anyone know?

I think you have just convinced me to get Tokico Ilks LOL. Drop/ car looks great, and its affordable. Anywhere else I can get that kinda deal for them?? The kit comes with springs and shocks? sounds great :thumb: :sneaky:

Yes the Illumina Suspension kit comes with Shocks and Springs, $485 on EBAY for 2G AWD, don't know about a N/T kit, check Ebay.

Dumb question, but do you have to have these professionally installed? As in, do I have to pay to have them installed?

You can do it yourself if you have a spring compressor, otherwise yes. I have a friend that works at a dealership and just drove my car to work and did it then. He only charged me $30 but I don't know how much it normally costs.

You Should Use A Strut Compressor Not A Spring Compressor

If you cannot compress a strut (i.e., shock) by hand, then you are probably too weak to steer or shift gears. For this reason, I've never heard of a strut compressor. What you need to get the stock springs off the car is a spring compressor.

Alright, thanks Jtoby, I've never dealt with suspension that much and I'm looking to try and upgrade it. Actually, to be honest, I'm not really sure what the difference is between shocks and struts. I know what they each look like, but I don't know what the do differently. Anybody care to clarify?LOL
