Does anyone have any pictures/input on the Eibach Sportline Suspension? I was looking into getting it, and I wanted some input. Will I need to replace the struts also? Any suggestions on them? Thanks

I haven't had any experiences with Sportlines on DSMs, but I had a set on my '97 Civic. What I can tell you is that they were a comfortable ride, but a little on the soft side (for what I was looking for). They were great for a drop and ride quality, but performance wise I'm sure there are better. On the other hand, I was using stock struts, so I'd imagine that aftermarket struts could have changed things a lot.

Anyway, search around the forum...there are a few other spring recommendations floating around. If you're not set on the Sportline suspension, you'll get quite a few other suggestions and information regarding suspension.

Alright thanks! I think I'm going to end up going with AGX's anyways. I'm just trying to figure out if I'm getting the best set up for the money. I can get the springs for $230ish and the AGX's for a little over $300, and then the place I'm going through is charging $175 for labor. SO, I'm looking at a little over $700 already. I'm just not sure if I could be getting something better for the money  ! This is harder then I thought it'd be.

Do it yourself, its worth the $125 you'll save in labor. WTF But I've been reading that KYBs and Eibach springs work well together. If you want a better deal, they're out there, just gotta be patient and really REALLY look around.

Get the pro kits. Sportlines will seriously make your ride bad, you will be bouncing everywhere depending on the road conditions. Search and you will find out why only a few use sportlines.

Goldline springs for a 2g are listed as a 2 inch drop. I dont know what the spring rates are for the goldlines but im pretty sure goldline springs for a 2g will give a crappy ride also.

well so far everything i have read on this forum is saying that any spring with a approx 2" drop is going to ride like crap. Well all i have to say is Mitsubishi should have thought of that before they built the stock suspension for ROCK CLIMBING................ ROFL, I mean the pro kit is nice and all but for the money it does not give the look I want, and as jacked up the front is, i cant see it riding crappy with a approx 2" drop. I really think it is all about the struts your on that will determine ride BUMP absorption. I mean the sportlines are designed for a aggressive stance and stiff ride.

it pretty much always boils down to personal opinion in the end anyway. :thumb:

not to hi-jack the post or anything, but i am about to purchase the sportlines, and I would really appreciate it if someone that has these springs on a 95-99 GST would tell me what i need when it comes to camber, I am a complete newb when it comes to camber adjustment.

If you have a kit to tell me about please supply model or serial #'s for easy lookup, thks.

the sportline's will give you a though ride, and it is EXTREMELY LOW, i will get pics up asap as I get a camera tonight, you'll scrape everywhere :p

you need:

shocks
springs
camberkit (front and back)

overall if you have the right tools it is an easy install but i you have never done that be sure to let someone help you since those springs could kill you (or hurt very bad)

buschur racing camberkits $80 each so $160 for front and back
front: $80.00 Stock #: 70260-BR
back: $80.00 Stock #: 70270-BR

DaimondStarMotorsport
they are a little more expensive but at least you see pics ;D

thats all the less expensive ones that i found, in like 10 min search :p
but that should help
later

here some pics: sportlines with agx shocks, and i have never scraped or bottomed out on anything, but they are really stiff(when i mean really stiff i mean ####en ridiculous for any city street in chicago), that is with the shocks on their stiffest. On the softest setting still stiff but its tolerable for city driving. Hope this helps!
