biggest size on stock wheels?

turning might suck...a lot. try a shorter sidewall.

oh, just noticed stock wheels...215's can work, 225's really push it. but yeah, 235/55's could possibly fit, but handling will really really suffer. ever driven a cadillac? yeah, only not as smooth.

The stock wheels are not even wide enough for 205's, as far as ideal
cornering is concerned. You won't gain anything by going wider with those wheels.

All 16" stock rims are 6" wide. All 17" rims are 6.5" wide.

215/55/16 are the stock optional size for AWD's. Biggest you would want to go is 225/50/16. Anything higher wider than that and you will have either sidewall or rubbing issues on the suspension upgrights.

If you look under tire sizes via the manufacturer, the smallest width for tires of 225/x/x is 7"

Tirerack also told me that I don't want to run +35 offset rims.

The rule of thumb is no less that 70% of the tread with of the tire.

25.4*6 = 152.4

152.4/225 x 100 = 68%

This puts the 225 wide rim at the limit of the rule of thumb. It will work, no matter what Tirerack says. Remember tirerack is also the place that tells you you can't run 245/40/17's on a DSM. Wrong again.

Thanks... :thumb: I'm sorry if I came off as a ****, I was just merely quoting from the "experts" hehehe.. I can now get the 235's as I had originally planned..
