Guys -
I'm going with a set of Eibach Pro kit springs on my 92 TSi AWD, but I think the KYB AGXs are a bit too harsh for my mostly stock daily driver. What other options do I have? I've heard the GR-2s are just like the stock shocks, so they're out. I want more controlled damping, but I don't want to completely sacrifice ride quality. (I do love the way the AGXs handle though!!) Is there a happy medium? 2G Tokicos won't work for this application, right?

Konis ride great. They work very well with soft to medium spring rates. I didn't like them with my 450lb front/375lb rear springs on my coilovers, but with normal lowering springs they work great.

You do have to modify the front strut housing to put them in though.

Gr-2's arent really worth anything IMO. The agx's ride rough but are the best bang for buck, and you can always keep them on low setting if you want. they wont be that bad with prokits, I have them with my sportlines and I love em.... or you could get the Koni's

AGX's on the softest setting are barely any stiffer than stock on soft(er) springs like prokits.

Usually the AGX's feel harsh on lowered cars because they are TOO SOFT (high speed dampening)...sounds wierd but it's causes the car to bottom out and the dial dosen't help because it only adjusts the low speed dampening which dosen't help when hitting bumps. Bottom line Get the Konis better yet get the shortened Konis from RRE. This improvement in travel and dampening will simply amaze you. By the way this problem is just with the front AGX's the rears work fine.
