I'm just wondering how many bushing they are at the rear end,

And the exact name of those that you need to drop the rear end ?

I know some have them custom, wondering why too ?

I fell like 'mister question'
Thank's
Eric

Im guessing you wanna know how many rubber bushings are on the rear frame that holds the rear diff?

Yes how many, and what is the name of those busching ?

Especially what is the name of those big 3" one ? is it called: Rear Control Arm Bushings ?

And is there another ? except those for the sway bar.

I know FWD have : "Rear Track Arm Bushings" but AWD is it available ? or we need to go custom ?

Thank's

- Jtoby

Eric

Ah! Non. Mon épouse est de Niagara Falls. J'aime visiter. Rue Saint Denis. Yummy.

Hi Jtoby, I've called Mike at RRE and do not have it for the 1G, they have to do it custom (Delrin) like they did for Scot Gray. I've talked with a local guy that has it custom (aluminium) he said it's so noisy, it's like if the suspension is broken, he said never put that on your car... but mine are very old and wear...

I've also found :http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=12675&highlight=delrin

Eric.

If Lowell Foo doesn't think that it's worth it, then I'd listen and move on to do whatever is next on your list.

Yesterday I've talked (by mail) with Scot Gray and he told me that the most important bushings are the rear toe eliminators for the trailing arm thingy. The large subframe bushings help, but not near as important.

Mine are old and wear (1G90) so my question : do you think if I replace the old bushing by new one (stock) is worth it ? I mean it's a big job, is there a problem to run the old ones ?

Yes I must say Jtoby impressed me.

Absolutely get rid of the dynamic rear toe. That should be very high on the list of anyone with a 1G. As to the bushings, my read of that other thread (as well as some things from RRE and other places that I've looked at in the last day or two) is that it would be better to install poly bushings if you have already removed the subframe for some reason, but it is not worth removing the subframe just to do the bushings. At least not until quite a few other things have been done.

- Jtoby

We're talking about the subframe that holds the rear-end correct? The reason I ask is that I actully have a spare that im cleaning the rust off of and was going to swap a 4 bolt onto and then put on my 90. So why would only the trailing arm bushings be good to replace? Why not the ones that hold the subframe to the chassis?

I'm there because almost everything is finish. I just ordered a Mullerized coilover JIC to replace KYB AGX, a custom RRE front tower brace bolted in the firewall to replace the generic scrap one, the RRE rear tower brace, I have 2 s/t sway bars, pu everywhere execpt the rear, 235/45/17 S0-3, and waiting for my extreme light wheels (ordered but 60 days delay).

The only things left is : rear toe-link to be weld, the big subframe bushings in the lower control arm piece (cancelled) AND having 2 ATB Quaife instaled (but not for now OMG )...
