spyder strut tower bar?

I don't think there is. I think the inherent design of the convertible does not allow that. You could fabricate your own that has some sort of quick release mechanism and only use it with the top up.

Exactly. You can, however, get a rear lower tie bar. :D

You don't really need a rear strut bar in a Spyder. Factory stiffened the rear frame and A-pillar to compensate for the loss of hardtop. Front strut bar, upgraded sway bars and a good shock/spring combo and you're good to go!

I wouldn't go as far to say you don't need it. Even with the additional bracing from the factory...convertibles will ALWAYS flex alot more than a hard top, there's just no way around it.

I was thinking of getting a rear lower tie bar also....but don't know how it will help. Also anyone know how much clearance it there with a 3" exhaust?

Thats one hell of a point.... I also run 3 inch exaust so I need to know the same thing. But this is a very old post and a reply proly won't come out of this.

I agree on not needing a rear strut tower brace. The X brace is adequate. The best thing I ever did was the lower front brace from RRE. I don't have a lower Rear brace. I do however have a 3" DP back exhaust. Any lower rear brace that will fit over the stock exhaust should fit over a 3", as (at least in my exhausts case) the exhaust fills the pathway to the back of the car, but doesn't reduce lower clearance any.

As for the front brace fitting with a 3" DP, it will be close, but it should fit.
