anybody know of light weight wheels manufacturers that arent priced like the o so great volk and advan?? maybe some american brands i guess. what do you guys have/suggest?

If you can find them. TT RX7 rims are pretty good. They are 16X8 and weigh only 15lbs. Though, you will need 1/4" spacers, which can be bought at PepPoys for $5 each.

This is a photo of my car from Seekonk Speedway this weekend with those rims. Were you there by any chance?

Rota makes a few very light wheels, my 18' Sub Zero's only weigh 18lbs., and the 17" size weighs 16.5 lbs.

WHAO! what a minute GRNDSM, seekeonk speedway...green dsm, i live right in yur neiborhood! i know you won thrm this summer so i went to see you the next time around(aug or sept) but i werent there. but i missed the won on sunday and heard that yellow eclipse took it and you blew somthin. what happened??

....small country,LOL

For a little more bling I picked up the Mazda Milleneia wheels. 17x7 chrome and they only weigh 17 lbs. Seems Mazda has a knack for building light stock wheels... The offset is off a mm or two, and brand new tires rub for about 10 minutes ;) I believe the RX7 wheels require a spacer as well though.

Leon didnt blow anything, but coolant temps were high for some reason so he let off to save the car (a true racer), and the tranny popped out of second for other reasons. I'll let him tell the story, but I'm not sure I would have been able to let off like he did. I just dont have that kind of self restraint :)
