2G Rear drum to disk conversion

alright - i know that this subject has been talked out before but i would really appreciate it having one more go-round (searching here and dsmtalk was fruitless tho i don't know why - last time i searched dsmtalk i found what i was looking for right away..?) - if nothing else this could be the thread people find lateron here that answers this question..

i realize that putting in rear rotors is not going to improve my braking that much if at all - this is strictly a 'looks' issue for me. i hate the drums and i want to put rotors in. i know that i've read somewhere that it takes new rear brake lines, rotors, calipers and caliper mounting brackets.

is there anyone out there that has either done this swap or can give me the facts about it?

looking at the parts list I see it says to salvage the parts from 1995- 1999 gs gs-t or gs-x
but for the calipers and rotors is it possible to order them on-line?

Just did this conversion the other day myself. It was very easy did it in 3 hours. Get the Ebrake lines makes the job easier. This is what I did to save time. disconnect brakets to ebrake lines then disconnect brake lines. Now remove console and under air bag control box is the ebrake lines unhook and push through wall. Now unbolt 4 bolts behide hub and pull out entire drum brake assembly. I have read were they disconnected all this and can't figure out why? It will come out in one piece and goes on scrap pile. You will need new brake lines, caliper, brake pads, rotors, disc brake mounting assemblies, and ebrake lines, and dot 3 brake fluid. From there the job is easy..
