thanks for the comments :dsm:

You need a alignment. I see in your profile you have lowering springs and a camber kit. Just take it to a alignment shop to have it align professionally.

i dunno that sounds more like the symptoms of the camber being off, maybe the kit isnt fixing it enough?

That is why I said to take it to a professional to get aligned.

oh for them to fix the camber, i thought you were just talking about toe. ok my bad

Was the car ever aligned after lowering it?

Quick inside tire wear like you describe is usually from bad toe adjustments over bad camber adjustments.

After you lower your DSM, you MUST bet a camber kit to correct the carber. Otherwise it if significantly wear the inside lip on the tire.

I put on Ingalls camber kit on my car and it didnt fix it 100%, but it made it much better.

On the other hand, I still go through tires like crazy. I go through a set every 2 summers. Roughly 10K miles. I drive on them until they're bald, and the inside lip always seems to wear quicker....

he said he had a camber kit.

Incorrect Toe alignment will wipe the tread off of the inside of a tire VERY quickly.

I know this for a fact.

Just because he has a camber kit doesn't mean it is properly adjusted. If you get it aligned, have it set to factory settings unless you like to drive aggressively then you may want just a little more negative camber.

edit: and toe can't cause the inside of the tire to wear, only camber. Incorrect toe causes feathered wear accross the entire tread surface. You may have had incorrect camber and toe, which would wipe the inside of the tire quick.

Wrong. If you don't know don't say anything.

Bad toe settings do in fact ruin tread along the edges depending on the toe settings (or lack there of). It does it quick too, much quicker than camber problems. Have you ever had a tie rod go bad and seen what it can do to tires? Ever do an alignment on a car with good camber but bad toe and see the tires bald on the inside 2 inches but fine everywhere else?

Nope, I have only seen the inside worn if they had negative camber. I have seen, however, too much negative camber coupled with incorrect toe settings cause that kind of wear.

This man speaks the truth. I'm going through this now. A bad tie rod killed my tires in less than two months.

Yes, I see now that could effect the inside of the tire if the tierod is loose to the point where it causes excessive toe out, you were correct. I will graciously bow out... Sorry I didn't think hard enough about the geometry... :p

thanks for all your help. i had them put the tire more vertical due to me always being on the highway and not racing down back streets. the suspension actually seems tighter to me but im no expert on suspension. i again appreciate all your help.
