I want to install Eibach Pro-Kit, do I need a front/rear Camber Kit? I will only be lowering the car about 1", is the camber kit needed? Also should I replace the stock shocks? If so, with what?

I want to lower my car 99 GSX AWD, but I do not want to compromise ride or bottom out.

thanks for the help

its generally a good idea to replace the stock shocks when you lower it. i have heard the pro-kit makes a good pairing with Tokico Illuminas or the preferred Koni adjustables. i am not sure about your camber kit question, because i have heard you need it and i have heard you dont.

After you lower your car (this pertains to 1", or there about, drops) get it aligned at all 4 corners, the mechanic will be able to tell you if you are outside the specs for rear camber and by how much (in negative degrees, you should never drive with positive camber). If you are within the specs layed out by mitsubishi then you are fine, if not may I suggest you try the $15 rear camber adjustment mod. It is good for about 1 degree of positive camber. The fronts should be fine.

To understand what I mean by positive and negative camber, pretend the slanted lines are your tires.

Negative Camber (leans in at top) Positive Camber (leans out)

I saw another person use this in a post as a way to explain it visually. I hope I got it right, as always if I am wrong I am sure someone will point it out.:p

you need a rear camber kit. it is only 20$ for the home depot version, or about 45 $ for the Extreme kit. The fronts will be fine.

I purchased RRE's version of the home depot one. 4 bolts, and some spacers. Just wanted to make sure I got stuff that would hold up and the right parts, etc. No hassle. For the rear btw. The front has always been fine. I even had sportlines for a while, but they sucked. I now have illuminas with prokits, and I love it.
