Rim Size

Hey Suspension Tuners what's up? I am not really in this section to much and i don't know alot about suspension tuning....altho i have a fair amount of knowledge on engine tuning. I dont have much suspension work done (F&R Strut Bars, Tokiko Shocks, & A set of coilovers which i will soon drop for some h&r springs)....

My question today is about rim sizes.....I am starting to slow down my engine mods as i think my car is pretty quick well I was looking at 17" Rims, i saw on a web-site 17x7 Inch rims & a 40mm offset....what size tires should be put on? I was hoping to put on Yokohoma ES 100's w/ a 215 wide

How's that sound? Please let this newb's know...Thanks

IMHO, I would run a 225-45-17. Its more personal taste than anything. If you go wider than a 225, the tires will bulge on the 7" wheel

so the tires 215/45/17 z's hehe.....they wil lfit on those rims? It won't rub or anything of the sort?

Does anyone have any avg estimated prices (probably differs area to area) on mounting & balancing the tires on the rims?

215 will fit fine.

I suggest going wider on your wheels though.

I only went 7.5" wide on my wheels and I regret it every time I buy tires because I could've spent a couple extra bucks and gotten a wheel suitable for 245 width tires.

Remember you can always STRETCH tires as well.
