1g* Abs or Non Abs

I have a bent axle on the rear of my front wheel drive eclipse. I found a new axle in a junkyard but they wanted to know if my car had abs or not. How is there and easy way to tell, or did 1st gens even have abs at all? Like I said its a fwd non turbo, but I do have disc brakes all the way around.

not to sound like a smart ass, but you don't have any axle's in the rear, your fwd. are you sure you dont mean another part?
and yes some 1gs have abs, the way you can tell is under your hood to the left of the motor there should be a rectangular peice of metal with a bunch of metal lines coming out of it. thats the best way i could explain it. or if you've ever slammed on your brakes and the pedal pulsates very fast.

I dont mean an axle like on awds, or rwds,, I'm talking about the long metal bar, kinda like a piece off angle iron that holds everthing there, hubs, struts. the bar on my car is bent on the pass side and causeing bad tire wear.

we knew what you were talking about. by saying axle

follow the brake lines if you see the metal box he is talking about with a bunch of lines all around it you found it or look for an abs fuse
